BELGRADE - US President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr met with Serbian businesspeople in Belgrade on Saturday, the Serbian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (PKS) has posted on its Instagram account.

"An excellent, open discussion between Serbian business representatives and Donald Trump Jr. Thank you for your time and for giving us an opportunity to introduce you to some of our excellent entrepreneurs," the post read.

PKS President Marko Cadez said the meeting had been attended by 33 businesspeople and managers of Serbian companies employing more than 35,000 people.

He said the businesspeople had an opportunity to showcase their businesses and projects they were working on.

The businesspeopole included Comtrade owner and Privrednik Business Club President Veselin Jevrosimovic, as well as representatives of MK Group, Delta Holding and Mikroelektronika, which has a presence in the US market.

"They had an opportunity to speak with a man who is at the centre of global developments and knows what is going on in global markets. It was an opportunity for us to hear some predictions and expectations regarding the global economy," Cadez told Bloomberg Adria.

According to a PKS statement, Cadez said US companies were very interested in the IT sector, and Trump Jr was also given a presentation of real estate and tourism projects.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic hosted a dinner for Donald Trump Jr on Saturday.

This was Donald Trump Jr's second visit to Belgrade in just a month and a half.
