BELGRADE - In a prestigious annual selection of the world's best airlines, the World Airline Awards, Air Serbia has been ranked among the world's top 100 airlines for the first time, and as the third best airline in Eastern Europe.
"The national airline of the Republic of Serbia took the third place in the category of Best Regional Airlines in Europe and the 18th place in the World’s Best Regional Airlines category," Air Serbia said in a statement.
"The placement among the 100 World's Best Airlines is an exceptional success for Air Serbia. We are proud that our work and service improvement are recognised in the ranking of one of the world's most respected specialised portals. We are particularly pleased that, in addition to entering the TOP 100, we are highly placed in the category of the Best Regional Airlines in Europe and that we have progressed in the list of the World’s Best Regional Airlines. This year, we have maintained a high position in the category of the Best Airlines in Eastern Europe. We continue to invest in the fleet, the network of destinations and the user experience, to provide passengers with an increasingly quality service and to further strengthen the position of Air Serbia on the international market," said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.
The World Airline Awards have been organised by the prestigious UK-based specialised Internet portal Skytrax for more than 25 years.
"This year's research was conducted in the period from September 2024 to May 2025 and included travelers from more than a hundred countries, who evaluated the services of over 325 airlines around the world. The World Airline Awards are considered the most prestigious accolades in the airline industry, as they represent a unique global benchmark of excellence based solely on real passenger experiences and ratings. Those awards are the result of the largest and most comprehensive survey of passenger satisfaction and are therefore an indicator of the quality and reliability of airlines at the international level," Air Serbia said.
