Glamocic receives Italian ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamocic received Italian Ambassador to Belgrade Luca Gori on Friday.
The parties noted that Serbia and Italy were connected by a years-long friendship and strong bilateral relations that were advancing year by year.
They especially noted that, for Serbia, Italy represented one of the most significant and most promising markets and that the two countries shared a common interest of maintaining market stability, advancing safe production and further strengthening mutual cooperation and support, an official statement said.
They discussed opportunities to boost Italian investments in Serbia, especially in the manufacturing sector, which holds major potential for further development and for contributing to the competitiveness of Serbian agriculture.
The parties agreed that Italian PM Giorgia Meloni's recent visit to Serbia and a meeting with President Aleksandar Vucic represented a strong expression of sincere friendship between the two countries.
They said the visit, which took place at an especially complex time for Serbia, carried special weight as a clear confirmation of a willingness to continue intensive cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
