RZS: 4.43 mln tourists visited Serbia in 2024

BELGRADE - A total 4.43 mln tourists visited Serbia last year, compared to 2.19 mln in 2014, according to figures released by the national statistical office, RZS, to mark September 27, World Tourism Day.

In a statement, it said 12.66 mln overnight stays were registered last year, compared to 6.08 mln in 2014.

Belgrade received the highest percentage of overnight stays - 29.3 pct, and was followed by the Vojvodina province (15.7 pct), the Sumadija and Western Serbia region (37.8 pct) and the Southern and Eastern Serbia region (17.2 pct).

Among foreign tourists, Russians generated the highest percentage of overnight stays - 10.2 pct, and were followed by tourists from Turkey (9.9 pct), China and Hong Kong (6.6 pct), Bosnia and Herzegovina (6.2 pct) and Germany (4.8 pct).
