Serbian gov't sets up working group to modernise Nis airport

BELGRADE - The Serbian government has set up a working group to manage negotiations and draft an agreement on the Construction and Modernisaton of the Constantine the Great Airport in Nis - Phase 2 project.

According to the latest issue of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, the working group is tasked with collaborating with the Chinese company Shandong Hi-Speed Group Co Ltd to conduct negotiations to define the value of services and works in the construction and modernisation project as well as the fundamental elements with a view to concluding an agreement.

The working group will be chaired by State Secretary at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Ranko Sekularac and coordinated by Tatjana Ivkovic from the same ministry, which will be providing expert, administrative and technical support in the process.

After the negotiations, the working group will submit to the government a report with the fundamental elements of the agreement and recommendations for further steps in project implementation.
