Mali: Gitex's choice of Belgrade as host for 2027 confirms significance of EXPO

BELGRADE/DUBAI - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Tuesday Gitex Global's choice of Belgrade as the host city of its first-ever fair in southeast Europe, Gitex AI Serbia, in May 2027 - during EXPO 2027 Belgrade - confirmed Serbia's position as a growing hub of innovation and new technologies in its part of Europe.

"Besides, the arrival of such a large tech giant is another proof of the significance of EXPOs and Serbia's hosting of EXPO 2027," Mali posted on Instagram.

It is Serbia's greatest development chance and an impetus for other major projects, Mali noted, adding that Serbia would become the centre of the world in 2027.

"Gitex is just underway in Dubai, bringing together around 1,000 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors! I am glad Serbia has again presented itself in the right way there!" Mali concluded.
