BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday the volume of Serbia-Italy bilateral trade would become incomparably higher once Stellantis started manufacturing electric cars in Kragujevac, central Serbia, next year.
"In the past ten years, we have doubled our trade with Italy and today is at around 4.6 bln euros, and you can count on it becoming incomparably higher next year, once Stellantis's production of modern electrically powered city cars begins in Kragujevac," Vucic noted at a Serbia-Italy business and scientific forum, also attended by Italian Deputy PM and FM Antonio Tajani.
"I am proud we have created an attractive economic ecosystem for foreign businesspeople, who are investing in Serbia in record-high numbers," Vucic said.
"Geographically, but not only geographically, Italy is the closest large economy to us," he added.
