Serbia registers 226,284 visits by foreign tourists in September

BELGRADE - Serbia registered 226,284 visits by foreign tourists in September and Turkish tourists led the pack with 22,572 visits, or nearly a tenth of the total.

According to figures released by the national statistical office RZS, Chinese tourists were in second place with 18,635 visits and were followed by visitors from Germany (16,167), Russia (15,232) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (13,020).

Cities were the most frequent destinations for foreign tourists, with Belgrade topping the list with 129,181 visits.

Serbian mountain and spa resorts registered 23,174 and 11,421 visits by foreign tourists, respectively.
