RATEL awards 5G network licences to Telekom Srbija, Yettel and A1 Serbia

BELGRADE - Following an auction, Serbia's regulatory authority for electronic communications and postal services RATEL has awarded 5G network licences to three bidders - Telekom Srbija, Yettel and A1 Serbia.

In a statement, RATEL said the auction for the 694-790 MHz, 880-915/925-960 MHz, 1710-1785/1805-1880 MHz, 1920-1980/2110-2170 MHz, 2500-2690 MHz and 3400-3800 MHz radio frequency ranges had been carried out successfully from November 3 through November 7.

It also said the three telecoms operators would each pay a licence fee of slightly over 100 mln euros.
