BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted on Wednesday a set of energy bills - a bill on crude oil, a bill on natural gas and a bill on mandatory reserves of crude oil, oil derivatives and natural gas.
"The aim of adopting these three laws is to increase the security, quality and reliability of supply to the domestic market, as well as to ensure compliance with European Union regulations in these areas," the government press service said in a statement.
The government also adopted a decree on granting prior consent to a decision to establish the Gas Infrastruktura Novi Sad LLC, which will be the "owner of infrastructure in accordance with internationally accepted obligations, while the public company Srbijagas will continue to supply the market with gas," the statement also said.
