Vucic: Great possibilities for cooperation with UK

BELGRADE - There are great possibilities for Serbia-UK cooperation and it is no coincidence that the UK is a global leader in many areas, thanks, above all, to its education system, which should be a model for Serbia, President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday at a UK-Western Balkans regional business conference titled Building Futures.

"That comes from the education system, and that is one of the things we will need to discuss with our UK partners in the future to see how we can change ourselves and how to learn and work more, and how to be prepared for a future of artificial intelligence, new technologies and innovation, because there is no future without that," Vucic said at the Belgrade conference, devoted to innovation in green energy, infrastructure and advanced technologies.

He thanked the UK's Ambassador to Belgrade Edward Ferguson for insisting on bilateral economic cooperation, and noted that Serbia-UK cooperation was at an all-time high but that he believed it could even become much better in the future.

Serbia will act in a responsible and serious manner and we will be safeguarding stability and peace while looking to grow even faster together with all our neighbours and friends in the region, Vucic said.
