BELGRADE – A total 2,961 construction permits were issued in Serbia in September, which was a 3.1 pct increase relative to the same month of 2024.
According to figures released by the national statistical office RZS, 85.6 pct of the total permits were issued for buildings, while other structures made up the remaining 14.4 pct.
The RZS said 85.6 pct of the permits for buildings had been issued for residential buildings and 14.4 pct for non-residential buildings.
The highest construction activity is expected in the Belgrade District - 65.4 pct of the planned value of new structures - followed by the South Banat District (10.6 pct), the Rasina District (5.4 pct), the South Backa District (3.3 pct) and the Ras District (3.0 pct).
