BELGRADE - At the Gulfood 2026 fair in Dubai, Serbian companies held around 1,300 business meetings that have resulted in 8.2 mln euros' worth of agreed or anticipated export deals, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) said on Friday.
The PKS's Zorana Delic said the majority of business contacts had been established with partners from the UAE, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the US, Canada, Russia, Iraq, the Netherlands, India, Japan, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, China, South Korea, Turkey, Oman, Lebanon and Bahrein, reconfirming a global interest in Serbian food products.
During the Dubai trade show, the Serbia pavilion was visited by Serbian Ambassador to the UAE Vladimir Maric, who spoke with representatives of Serbian companies and highlighted the significance of continued presence of Serbian producers in the Middle Eastern market.
From January 26 to 30, 24 companies from various segments of the Serbian food industry sector made appearances at Gulfood 2026 with support from the PKS and the Development Agency of Serbia.
