Serbia's employed population down by 0.9 pct in Q4 2025

BELGRADE - Serbia had an employed population of 2,356,466 people in Q4 2025, which was a 0.9 pct decline y-o-y, according to figures released by the national statistical office.

In a statement, it said the majority of the total employed population - 1,884,966 people - worked for legal persons and that 427,229 were entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people, while 44,271 people were registered as individual agricultural producers.

The number of employees of legal persons was down by 22,544 (1.2 pct) and the number of entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people was up by 4,289 (1.0 pct), while the number of registered individual agricultural producers declined by 3,644 (7.6 pct).

Relative to the previous quarter, the total employed population was down by 9,279 (0.4 pct), and the number of employees of legal persons declined by 8,236 (0.4 pct).

The number of entrepreneurs, employees of entrepreneurs and self-employed people was down by 351 pct (0.1 pct), while the number of registered individual agricultural producers was down by 692 (1.5 pct).
