Mali: Vucic, Putin to discuss new gas arrangement within next few days

BELGRADE - Serbia's First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Wednesday evening Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Russian President Vladimir Putin were due to hold a conversation within the next few days to discuss, among other topics, a new natural gas arrangement between Serbia and Russia, with the current one set to expire on March 31.

"Our gas arrangement is valid until the end of this month, so that, too, will be a topic of the discussion between the two presidents so that we secure further supplies of gas and oil derivatives," Mali told Pink TV.

Srbijagas CEO Dusan Bajatovic announced on March 20 a new annex to the Russian gas deal would likely be agreed on March 26 or 27 for a period of six months - from April 1 to October 1.
