BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with representatives of the Bechtel-Enka consortium on Tuesday to discuss the progress of construction works on the Morava Corridor and projects in the fields of renewable energy sources and energy infrastructure.

At the meeting, Vucic especially insisted on deadlines for the Cacak-Kraljevo section being met.

"I noted that completion of the works in line with the expected dynamics is strategically important because I expect this very project to lend an additional impetus to swift development in the country as the widest motorway that will connect a large number of cities and municipalities and position Serbia as one of the most important logistical and economic centres in this part of the world," Vucic posted on Instagram.

He noted that he had especially insisted on the deadlines for finishing the Cacak-Kraljevo section being met as it was vital for entire western and southwestern Serbia, after which, he added, the remaining section would round out the Morava Corridor as one of the most demanding, the most complex and the most significant projects for Serbia.
