BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic attended on Tuesday a meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and representatives of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, and noted that key challenges in the global energy sector environment and Serbia's further steps had been discussed with the mission.
"The energy and oil crisis, the largest since the oil crisis of the 1970s, has brought serious disruptions to the global market, but Serbia has remained stable, we have not had interruptions of supply or disruptions on the domestic market. Crude oil prices are expected to remain high, which is also spilling over to the prices of gas and other fuels, and these are challenges many countries are facing," Djedovic Handanovic posted on Instagram.
Serbia is investing additional efforts to carry out structural reforms, and plans infrastructure development in the energy sector carefully to ensure greater flexibility and long-term security of supply, she added.
