BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade Jagoda Lazarevic and South Korean Minister of Trade Yeo Han-koo signed on Friday in Belgrade a joint statement marking the conclusion of talks on an intergovernmental agreement on a comprehensive economic partnership between the two countries.
The document was inked at the Palace of Serbia.
Lazarevic said Yeo's visit to Serbia was very important and would further advance economic ties with South Korea.
"Besides liberalisation of goods trade, the agreement includes various fields of economic cooperation, which will be a clear legal foundation as well as an opportunity for us to develop economic relations with this important country even further," the minister said.
She noted that a Serbia-South Korea agreement on mutual protection and promotion of investment would take effect on Saturday, completing a legal framework that she said would have a direct impact on strengthening economic cooperation.
"It will especially have an impact on our intent and great desire to attract even more investments from the Republic of Korea," Lazarevic added.
