Djedovic Handanovic receives UAE ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic met with UAE Ambassador to Belgrade Ahmed Almenhali on Monday to discuss cooperation in the energy sector and renewable energy projects being developed by UAE state-owned companies.

In an Instagram post, Djedovic Handanovic wrote that she had thanked the ambassador for the support provided by the UAE in efforts to resolve the situation regarding the Serbian oil company NIS.

"The good relations between our two countries rest, above all, upon the exceptional, brotherly relationship between the two leaders, President Aleksandar Vucic and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the cooperation in the energy sector is becoming increasingly important. I expressed gratitude for an invitation to participate in this year's ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi, which is an excellent platform for discussions on the most significant topics and energy issues," the minister added.
