BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received a European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) delegation for Southeast Europe on Wednesday to discuss a continuation of cooperation and Serbia's strategic development priorities in sustainable infrastructure, the energy sector, green transition, renewable energy sources and improvement of energy efficiency.

"A good and substantial discussion with the EBRD delegation for southeastern Europe. I especially noted I am glad about a decision to establish a regional EBRD hub for Southeast Europe as part of the Belgrade office, which is another confirmation of Serbia's significance as a dependable partner and an important economic and investment hub in the region," Vucic posted on Instagram.

The parties also discussed Serbia's strategic development priorities in sustainable infrastructure, the energy sector, green transition, renewable energy sources and improvement of energy efficiency.

Vucic noted that implementation of those projects was important for boosting economic competitiveness, as well as for spurring sustainable economic growth and improving the citizens' living standard.

"The meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss continuing the successful cooperation and taking it to a level that is on par with Serbia's accelerated and strong growth and its role as the driver of development in the entire region," Vucic wrote in the post.
