Contract on CERN's participation in EXPO 2027 signed in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbia's EXPO 2027 Commissioner Jagoda Lazarevic, who is also minister of internal and external trade, EXPO 2027 Director Danilo Jerinic and the EXPO 2027 Commissioner of the European Council for Nuclear Research (CERN) Ursula Bassler signed on Monday in Belgrade a contract on CERN's participation in the specialised expo.

The contract, signed at the EXPO Playground at the Belgrade Fair, will enable the implementation of further operational steps towards CERN's involvement as an official participant.

EXPO 2027 Belgrade will be held from May 15 through August 15 2027 under the theme of Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.

To date, more than 140 international participants have confirmed that they will take part in the event.
