Cadez: Western Balkans a region of potentials, not problems

PRISTINA, June 6 (Tanjug) - As soon as possible, Europe needs to accept the fact the Western Balkans is not a region of problems and trouble, but of potentials no other European region has, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) President Marko Cadez said on Tuesday.

Speaking at a Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum conference in Pristina, Cadez said Europe needed to seize the opportunity provided by this as it imported over 90 pct of its raw materials from China.

"This region not only has raw materials and reserves, but also has functioning mines, and there are also processors capable of doing the processing work," he said.

He noted that Western Balkan countries must join the European market as soon as possible, and added that regional chambers of commerce would continue to cooperate in the future.
