Serbian public debt at 50.9 pct of GDP at end-August

BELGRADE - Serbia's public debt amounted to 35.206 bln euros at the end of August 2023, accounting for 50.9 pct of the national GDP, according to figures released by the Ministry of Finance.

One month before, the debt stood at 35.070 bln euros, accounting for 50.7 pct of GDP.

By comparison, Serbia's public debt amounted to 33.326 bln euros at the end of last year, or 55.1 pct of GDP, while five years ago it was at 23.221 bln euros, or 57.8 pct of GDP.
