Vucic: FTA opens up new prospects in Serbia-China relations

BEIJING - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said a Serbia-China FTA signed in Beijing on Tuesday opened up new prospects in the relations between the two countries and that the Belt and Road Initiative had brought much good to Serbia.

"I am very happy, honoured and privileged to have the opportunity to be in Beijing today. Serbian government ministers are with me, too, which speaks of respect and the very opportunity for us to be here. We are seeing progress in all areas we are cooperating in. The Belt and Road Initiative has brought a lot of good to our country," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account after a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"I am proud of our friendship and the results we have achieved," Vucic noted.

"Thank you, President Xi, for your personal engagement on strengthening the ties between our states and our peoples," Vucic wrote in the post.
