Vucic: Novi Sad-Subotica high-speed rail line to be opened by end-2024

VRBAS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday Chinese contractors had promised him a high-speed rail line between Novi Sad and Subotica would be finished by end-2024.

During a visit to the construction site of a soon-to-be-completed railway viaduct near Vrbas, Vucic said he was very glad the rail line would be opened in just a year, enabling people to travel between Belgrade and Subotica by high-speed trains.

China Railway International and CCCC representatives told Vucic their companies had made additional efforts to complete the works by end-2024.

Vucic noted that the two contractors were among the best Chinese companies operating in Serbia.
