Tabakovic: 12-pct cumulative growth confirms Serbian economy is in good shape

BELGRADE - National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic said on Wednesday the Serbian economy had registered cumulative growth of around 12 pct over the past four years despite reduced external demand and that this confirmed Serbia was in good shape economically.

At a presentation of the EBRD's Transition Report 2023-24, titled Transitions Big And Small, Tabakovic said high FDI inflows that had reached record-high levels of 4.4 bln and 4.5 bln euros in the past two years attested to "a favourable business environment and growth in investment confidence, owing to the responsible economic policy pursued by the Government and the NBS."
