DUBAI - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met on Monday in Dubai with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Director Kristalina Georgieva, who congratulated her on Serbia's economic success.
"An excellent meeting with IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva. I noted that we expect our GDP to grow by 3.5 pct, which will provide us with a good foundation for continued economic growth. We also discussed artificial intelligence (AI), since countries that engage in its development will have a significant advantage over others in the future," Brnabic wrote in an Instagram post.
She said it had been encouraging to hear Georgieva praise Serbia's fiscal policy.
"We will continue to work on comprehensive development of our economy and on boosting the living standards of all our citizens in a stable and sustainable way," Brnabic said.
Georgieva congratulated Brnabic on Serbia's strong economic performance as part of an IMF-backed programme - recovery of growth and a decline of inflation and public debt, record-high FX reserves and preparations for AI.
