BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali announced the Open Balkan member states - Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia - had on Friday, March 1 officially established a common labour market.
Mali said electronic services for applications by workers would become available next week and that the eGovernment portals of the three countries would become interconnected.
He said the establishment of a common labour market would help further economic progress and boost investments in the region and the quality of life in the initiative's three member states.
An expanded labour market will create greater business opportunities for individuals and companies alike, he said.
Cutting excess paperwork and procedures will help people from the three countries to find better jobs and foster the movement of people and inter-human ties in the region, Mali also said.
