BELGRADE - A plenary meeting at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) on Thursday marked the start of official talks between Serbian representatives and an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission.
The Serbian delegation is led by NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who is also Serbia’s governor to the IMF, the central bank said in a statement.
Serbian Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali and his aides also took part in the meeting.
"This is the third review under the Stand-By Arrangement approved by the IMF on December 19, 2022.
The IMF mission, led by Mr Donal McGettigan, will stay in Belgrade until March 26.
The talks will focus on the latest macroeconomic developments, the economic outlook and risks, and key issues related to programme implementation.
