BELGRADE - Minister-President of the German State of Bavaria Markus Soder said in Belgrade on Friday Serbian economic indicators were on a strong upward trajectory and announced that cooperation with Serbia would be stepped up and that Bavarian companies would take part in EXPO 2027, to be hosted by Belgrade.
"The EXPO is a huge chance and an opportunity that will really advance Serbia. We, too, will support that and we want to organise well the participation of Bavarian enterprises that are ready to invest here and serve as suppliers. We think the EXPO is a very good economic opportunity," Soder said.
He noted that the Serbian economy had improved significantly.
"The indicators are going strongly up, a bit better than in Germany. This is an interesting market for us. Bavaria has the highest exports not only in Germany but perhaps in Europe as well. We will attach great significance to intensifying our economic relations and that is why we will establish a Bavarian representative office in Serbia," he also said.
