BELGRADE - A MoU on strategic partnership on sustainable raw materials, battery value chains and electric vehicles was signed by Serbia and the EU in Belgrade on Friday at a ceremony also attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
At the Palace of Serbia, the MoU was signed by Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic and European Commission Vice-President for the European Green Deal, Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight Maros Sefcovic.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Italian Ambassador to Belgrade Luca Gori, German Ambassador Anke Konrad, US Ambassador Christopher Hill and Serbian government ministers.
Belgrade is hosting a summit on critical raw materials, attended, among others, by representatives of EBRD, German development bank KfW, the Italian Development Bank and Mercedes-Benz.
