Mojsilovic receives farewell visit from US defence envoy

BELGRADE - Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Gen Milan Mojsilovic received on Friday a farewell visit from US defence envoy to Belgrade Col Corey Shea, who is leaving the post after a three-year tenure in Serbia.

Mojsilovic thanked Shea for his contribution to advancement of Serbia-US military cooperation and expressed the hope his successor would work diligently on strengthening bilateral defence relations and mutual trust and understanding, the Serbian MoD said in a statement.

Noting that defence cooperation was an important and extremely successful segment of overall Serbia-US relations that helped preserve and build peace in the region and worldwide, Mojsilovic noted that the Serbian Armed Forces would remain a dependable and credible partner open to cooperation with the US Armed Forces in areas of mutual interest.
