BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said Monday's decision by the Council of the EU to abolish visas for holders of Serbian passports from Kosovo-Metohija showed that Serbia was not giving up on the fight for the rights of its people in Kosovo-Metohija.
"Finally, good news for our people in Kosovo-Metohija! The Council of the EU has granted visa liberalisation for passports issued by the (Serbian) Coordination Directorate," Petkovic wrote in a post on X.
As promised by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Kosovo-Metohija Serbs will be able to travel without visas, he added.
"This victory, too, shows we are not giving up on the fight for the rights of our people in Kosovo-Metohija," Petkovic said.
