Vucic arrives in Brussels for working luncheon with W Balkan leaders

BRUSSELS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has arrived in Brussels for a working luncheon to be hosted for Western Balkan leaders by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Thursday.

Vucic is also due to have a separate meeting with European Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi.

In a statement on Wednesday, Vucic said the meeting with von der Leyen would be significant and that it would address an EU growth agenda and reforms required on the path to a European single market, to be preceded by the establishment of a single market in the Balkans.

"Of course, problems and everything else will be discussed as well, but I believe it will be an important meeting at which the president of the EC will point out that Marta Kos will be in charge of the part of the EC that is tasked with EU enlargement, and that we will have an opportunity to familiarise ourselves with their new agenda," Vucic said.
