Vucic presents situation of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs to Wang

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Chinese FM Wang Yi during the UN General Assembly session in New York to present the increasingly difficult situation of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and request China's support in the fight for the truth and respect of international law.

In an Instagram post, Vucic said he had had an extremely important meeting with Wang and that they had discussed all the most significant topics, from bilateral relations and further cooperation in areas of mutual importance to global issues and problems.

"I presented to him the increasingly difficult situation of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and requested China's support in the fight for the truth and respect of international law," Vucic wrote in the post.

He said he had thanked China for voting against a UNGA resolution on Srebrenica and that he had asked Wang to convey to Chinese President Xi Jinping Serbia's regards and gratitude for the consistent support and sincere friendship.
