BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with the chairwoman of the foreign affairs and defence committee of the Italian Senate Stefania Craxi on Monday to discuss the most important matters in Serbia-Italy cooperation as well as regional and European challenges.
"I noted the significance of strengthening the relations between Serbia and Italy, especially in areas such as the economy, infrastructure, science and culture. We exchanged views on new projects and initiatives that would contribute to further development of the partnership, with special focus on investing and trade," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
He noted Serbia's commitment to EU integration and to attaining the status of a full-fledged EU member and added that Serbia had carried out many reforms on that path.
"Chairwoman Craxi said Italy supports Serbia on that path, as well as that regional cooperation and stability is important for that country," Vucic wrote in the post.
