DAVOS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Chinese First Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday to discuss global challenges, cooperation and the friendship between Serbia and China.
"It is a great honour to meet with the first vice premier of PR China at a prestigious meeting of world leaders like this one. We talked about a world that is changing fast amid numerous global challenges that require urgent and pragmatic solutions, as well as about potential implications of big and important decisions expected from global decision-makers," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
Speaking about the role of Serbia and friendly China in today's world order, Vucic reiterated the importance attached by Serbia to the cooperation with China, based on steely friendship, trust, support, mutual respect and shared interests.
He added that they had also discussed economic cooperation and the huge potential for investing further in a new vision of Serbia as a country that was becoming an investment hub in this part of Europe.
"I noted that China, as a global leader in technology, is a strong partner to Serbia in carrying out the greatest and most audacious projects, many of which we will present at EXPO 2027," Vucic noted.
He also took the opportunity to extend his cordial greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
