BELGRADE - Serbia's caretaker PM Milos Vucevic on Wednesday attended an analysis of the state of the Serbian Armed Forces and their operational and functional capabilities in 2024, noting that Serbia continued to modernise and develop its army.
"We continue to modernise and develop our army because only strong Serbian Armed Forces are a guarantor of preservation of peace, stability and the sovereignty of our only fatherland, Serbia," Vucevic wrote in an Instagram post after attending a presentation of the regular annual analysis alongside Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Gen Milan Mojsilovic.
The conclusion of the analysis is that the Serbian Armed Forces have the capabilities to execute the tasks from all three of its missions: to defend the security and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and be a factor of peace and stability in the country and in the region, the Serbian MoD said in a statement.
