Vucic, Rod Blagojevich discuss Serbia-US relations

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Rod Blagojevich - one of US President Donald Trump's closest aides - in Belgrade on Tuesday to discuss issues of importance for Serbia-US relations.

"A proud Sumadija man by origin and someone who has never forgotten his roots, Rod deeply understands Serbia and knows the situation here excellently. I thanked him for doing much to raise the Americans' awareness of the position of our country and its role in the Balkans and beyond, because that requires much strength and courage," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

He noted that he had informed Blagojevic of major plans for further development of Serbia and that they had exchanged views on huge potential opened up when it comes to strengthening the country's cooperation with the US.

"Rod is a real example of a man who loves two countries with all his heart, although it seems to me that he will still lean towards the side of his ancestors after these home-cooked delicacies," Vucic added in the post.
