Vucic awards Statehood Day honours

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday awarded Statehood Day honours at a ceremony also attended by PM Ana Brnabic, Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Legendary former Serbian footballer and coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and composer Kornelije Kovac were posthumously awarded the Order of Karadjordje's Star.

Other laureates include actress Radmila Zivkovic (Order of the Meeting of the Lord 2nd Class), opera singer Zeljko Lucic (Gold Medal of Merit), ballet dancer Konstantin Kostyukov (Gold Medal of Merit), actor Lazar Ristovski (Order of Karadjordje's Star), cardiologist Milovan Bojic (Order of the Meeting of the Lord 1st Class), former US official Richard Grenell (Order of the Serbian Flag 1st Class), Azerbaijani Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev (Order of the Serbian Flag 1st Class), former Roman Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar (Order of the Serbian Flag 1st Class), as well as many scientific, medical and educational institutions.
