Djuric: Serbia ready to host talks on Ukraine

MOSCOW - Serbia wants to contribute to a resolution of the Ukraine conflict and it is ready to host talks on the matter, Serbian FM Marko Djuric said in Moscow on Monday.

"When it comes to our desire to contribute to a resolution of the current situation in Ukraine, Serbia is a country with relatively modest geopolitical capacities in terms of population size, but we have a great desire to contribute to a resolution of this problem and we are always ready to host any kind of formal or informal discussions," Djuric told reporters after meeting with Russian FM Sergey Lavrov.

He was responding to a question whether his meeting with Lavrov had also discussed the possibility of Belgrade becoming involved in discussions to end hostilities in Ukraine, Serbia being one of the few countries maintaining good relations with the USA, Russia and Ukraine.
