BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko on Wednesday to discuss current international developments, including urgent issues such as the most optimal solutions for Serbia's Russian majority-owned oil company NIS and new modalities of further cooperation in light of growing pressure on the global fuels market.
"An open and friendly discussion with Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko about all important aspects of cooperation between Serbia and the Russian Federation, current international developments and the role of our countries in the new geopolitical context," Vucic wrote in a post on his Instagram account.
Vucic reiterated the importance Serbia attaches to comprehensive strengthening of ties with the Russian Federation.
"We will continue to work on strengthening our bilateral relations and joint interests, in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect," Vucic concluded.
