MOSCOW - Serbian Deputy PM Aleksandar Vulin met with Russian FM Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on Friday to discuss the current situation in the Balkans.
Vulin and Lavrov voiced concern over attempts by foreign intelligence agencies to carry out a colour revolution in Serbia and destabilise the country, as well as over the ruling in the trial of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and over sanctions against Serbia's Russian majority-owned oil company NIS, the Serbian government said in a statement.
All this is making the situation in the Balkans more complex, they said.
Lavrov noted that Russia supported the stability of Serbia and the Balkans and that work needed be done to defuse tensions, the statement also said.
Earlier, Vulin also met with the head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin.
