Brnabic: Nothing will stop on March 15

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Thursday nothing in Serbia would stop on March 15 despite announcements of blockades.

"We have already had two general strikes, but I have not noticed that anything really stopped, even though they (protesters engaging in blockades) claim they have succeeded. If such a general strike lasts for three days and everything functions normally during that period, it is, in fact, not a strike, but a festival of hypocrisy," Brnabic said in an appearance on K1 TV.

She also said she was very concerned over the fact that opposition parties had "demonstrated clearly that violence is what they want and that they will take advantage of the fact students taking part in blockades will bring people to Belgrade to hijack the protest."

"Violence is their (the opposition's) policy," Brnabic said.
