Vucic: Fico strongly supported Serbian government's fight for peace, stability

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday he had had a friendly and open discussion with Slovak PM Robert Fico, who strongly supported Serbia's policy and the fight of its legitimate government for peace and stability in the country, and against those who were threatening that with external support.

In an Instagram post, Vucic said the discussion with Fico had also addressed current geopolitical and regional developments, the security situation, Serbia's EU path, as well as continued strengthening of Serbia-Slovakia bilateral relations.

"The relations between our two countries are based on mutual trust and cooperation, and I reiterated the gratitude to Slovakia for its principled stance when it comes to support for our territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for their assistance in Serbia's EU integration process," Vucic wrote in the post.
