Vucic, Russian ambassador discuss political, security situation in region

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko on Monday, noting that, in an open and substantial discussion, they had reviewed the current political and security situation in the region, with special emphasis on stability in the Western Balkans.

"An open and substantial meeting with Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko at which we reviewed the current political and security situation in the region, our bilateral cooperation, as well as the wider context of international relations with special emphasis on stability in the Western Balkans," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

Vucic noted that preservation of peace and stability was crucial for Serbia and reiterated Serbia's commitment to dialogue and to maintaining constructive relations with all partners.
