Vucic welcomed by Macron at Elysee Palace

PARIS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Wednesday. 

The guard-of-honour welcome was followed by a working lunch Macron hosted for Vucic. 

The two leaders were expected to discuss bilateral cooperation, Serbia's EU accession path, the geopolitical situation and many other topics. 

Recently, Vucic said he was grateful for the opportunity to meet with Macron. 

The visit was agreed during Vucic's phone call with Macron at the end of March, when the two presidents discussed all aspects of bilateral cooperation and Serbia's EU accession path. 

Macron paid an official visit to Serbia in August 2024. 

Besides Belgrade, he also visited Novi Sad at the time.
