Djuric meets with UK's Doughty in Antalya

ANTALYA - Serbia's caretaker FM Marko Djuric met with the UK's Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum on Friday, noting that Serbia was committed to advance its overall relationship and cooperation with the UK based on the traditionally good relations between the two countries and the two nations.

Djuric noted a recent visit to Serbia by UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, during which an agreement was reached to expand existing bilateral political consultations to also include additional topics that would constitute strategic dialogue.

He also noted that economic cooperation between Serbia and the UK had been developing dynamically in recent years, lending an additional impetus to strengthening the ties between the two countries.

Djuric and Doughty discussed a series of current geopolitical topics as well as the political and security situation in the region, an official statement said.
