BELGRADE - Deputy speaker of the Vojvodina provincial assembly Nemanja Zavisic said on Monday a meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and US President Donald Trump, which has been cancelled due to Vucic's health problems, would take place by the end of this month, and added that he was certain that, by the end of his term, Vucic would also bring Trump to Serbia.

"Unfortunately, the visit (Vucic's visit to the US) had to be cut short for health reasons, but I am certain that, as early as by the end of this month, President Vucic will have an opportunity to meet with Donald Trump. I am certain that, if God gives health to President Vucic - and he will - that Vucic will also bring Trump to Serbia by the end of his term. I think that is something we can expect," Zavisic told K1 TV.

"President Vucic has also given his word to Russian President Vladimir Putin and to the Serbs and the Russians that he will attend the 80th anniversary Victory Day military parade in Moscow. Barring any unforeseen health reasons, I am certain the president will keep his word," Zavisic said.

Commenting on the opposition's claims that Trump had refused to meet with Vucic, Zavisic said Vucic and Trump had already met four times and that Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr, had visited Belgrade twice in just a month and a half.
