BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Milos Vucevic met with Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director Efraim Zuroff in Belgrade on Wednesday to discuss cherishing a culture of remembrance of the suffering of Serbs and Jews in WWII camps.

"Today, I had the honour of meeting and hosting the famous Israeli Holocaust and genocide historian Efraim Zuroff, who is visiting Serbia. It is valuable to hear in person the experiences of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre director, who has worked on Holocaust research and studies for nearly four decades, as well as on tracking down runaway Nazis and war criminals from WWII, and is considered the last surviving Nazi hunter. We agreed that, through joint efforts, we will continue to cherish and strengthen in the future the Serbian-Jewish friendship and the culture of remembrance of the suffering of our two nations in camps in Nazi Germany and the Independent State of Croatia and under their regimes," Vucevic wrote in an Instagram post.

He noted that the SNS would never let the crimes be forgotten or give up on the fight against historical revisionism and brutal misuses of the gravest topics from Serbian past.

Zuroff also met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic on Wednesday.
